Thank you so much to all forty-one sixth grade students! It was a wonderful first day! I know that Mrs. Kuhn was able to get in a math lesson with the students and I started working with students on some skills that will help them throughout the rest of the year. We will be doing some background-building activities the next two days this week and will begin a "normal" week on Monday. I have asked your students to bring a binder/trapper keeper to school and a set of colored pencils. If you are unable to provide these for your student, I'll make sure they have what they need. I'm sorry that these items did not make it onto the list. In revamping a few things over the summer, I realized that I will need the students to each have a set of colored pencils for our "close read" weekly activity.
Since our first normal week begins on Monday, I will aim to get the first newsletter posted sometime on Friday or over the weekend. This first week is always a little hectic and I may not get it done during school hours!
Please know that I am truly excited to spend the school year with your student and can't wait to get into great routines with the classe
